By Arthur Troy, Damian Frankovic, Jada Pilgrim, and Nico Kladopoulos  A mural depicting Newtown Creek, a landmark dividing Queens and Brooklyn was uncovered at 3502 Borden Avenue on the wall of the HPCMS Campus. Federico "Iena Cruz" Massa is an artist who has painted the mural on the Hunters Point community Middle School (HPCMS) wall, as an act of support for the Newtown Creek Alliance. The grand unveiling took place at 10/21/20 12:00PM in Hunters Point South. The Newtown Creek Alliance is a community-based organization dedicated to restoring the waterway in Newtown Creek. This new mural is showcasing a variety of birds that live around Newtown Creek such, as the centerpiece heron and cormorant. The paint that they used to make the mural absorbs harmful greenhouse gases that is in the air making it better for the environment. Check out some of our work at the bottom of this article! Rube Goldberg was born on July 4th, 1883 in San Francisco, California and lived until the age of 67. His full name was Reuben Garrett Lucius Goldberg and he was known for being an American cartoonist, sculptor, author, engineer, and inventor and if that is not crazy enough he has his own award for the National Cartoonists Society. But perhaps he was most famous for his machines. When building the machine it had to have at least three energy sources and a purpose. Here are my thoughts and feelings about it. Andi Mack is a Disney Channel show about tweens going through middle school. Starring Peyton Elizabeth Lee as Andi Mack, Andi Mack is turning 13 when her older sister Bex returns home. Andi goes through her teenage life, with the help of her family and her friends Cyrus and Buffy, on top of coping with the discovery that Bex is actually her mother and that her mother Celia “Cece” is actually her grandmother, and managing her crush on classmate Jonah Beck. While another one of Andi’s friends, Cyrus, also has a crush on Jonah. So, in the show Cyrus comes out as gay. Gay is the G in LGBTQ+. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the new films are bringing back old characters from previous movies and introducing new characters, a few who have never made a screen appearance in a Marvel movie. The movie follows the storyline that all of Marvel's superheroes must come together to fight Thanos, an intergalactic villain with the powers of the universe, before he destroys earth and the universe as we know it. Thanos is expected to set high standards for villains to come. “I wanted to turn Thanos into the Darth Vader for a new generation. He’s an incredibly intense character.
