HPCMS Students and the Climate Strike
Sunnyside, New York - On Friday the 20th of September, there was a climate strike in downtown New York City. It started in Foley Square and everyone marched until Battery Park. The marching started at 12:00 P.M and ended at about 3:30 P.M. There were hundreds of thousands of people doing this march. This march was very important to spread awareness about how we are going to die if we don’t fix our planet. This march was amazing because it wasn’t just in New York where it happened. It happened all over the world like London, Australia, Washington D.C, and 150 countries. This was super big because it’s not something affects one certain group of people. It affects all of us on this planet and all living things. This global strike was organized by students and children like myself and hundreds of thousands of students and children and people attended this world-wide event.
