  The hit Netflix TV show Stranger Things takes place in Hawkins Indiana, although the show is actually shot in Georgia. The production began shooting in Georgia before they settled on the towns of Jackson and Atlanta  The filming of Stranger Things Season One began in November 2015, and ended in April 2016. They spent eleven days filming each episode. The first scene they shot was the Dungeons & Dragons scene from the first episode. The Filming of Season 2  started on November 7, 2016. The Filming for  Season 3  officially began on April 23, 2018. Jackson, Georgia remained as the primary filming area for scenes in Hawkins' downtown area. The South Bend Pool in Atlanta served as the Hawkins community pool, the Filming of Stranger Things Season 4 began in February 2020.


Stranger Things Season 1 episode 5 "The Flea and the Acrobat" revealed how Eleven first met the creature known as the Demogorgon. Stranger Things Season 1, episode 5 also reveals how Eleven first encountered the creature named “The Demogorgon”. The demogorgon or what was once known as “The Monster” many people described as a predatory human-like creature, almost alien. The creature entered Hawkins in November of 1983 from the parallel dimension known as “The Upside Down”. Henry (AKA Vecna) was casted into The Upside Down through a portal made by our main protagonist Eleven. Henry technically controlled any being that existed there at the time and destroyed some of Hawkins in Season 2. The opening of the portal to the underworld in Stranger Things in Season 1, episode 1. The opening of the portal began in Season 1, although the opening of the portal was established during season four this means that The Mothergate (or whatever you call it) was unintentionally opened by Eleven on November 6th, 1983.


The Upside Down is an alternate dimension that's eerily similar to Earth, a harsh and inhospitable environment that is ruled by the Mind Flayer. The creation of The Upside Down remains a mystery. Exactly how and why it came into existence is unclear, all we know as the viewers is that Eleven opened a portal to it. We also know that Papa (AKA Martin Brenner) should be  held accountable for his actions, he basically created a place that goes by the name of the Hawkins National Laboratory. Eleven like many others were kidnapped as newborns and forced to be a subject of a telekinesis project. The program was designed to develop mind-control techniques in which the subject suffered extreme conditions at the hands of the researchers, including use of psychedelic drugs, physical and mental abuse, sleep deprivation, and malnourishment.also the main main reason as to why papa wanted to create such a heartbreaking experiment is because he wanted to reach in contact with the upside down which led to the first sighting of the Demogorgon. That is the “perfect world” Henry's view. And with the portal open there is the discovery of the Demogorgon and the birth of everything that could go wrong. The true history of the next gate and how it keeps coming back. What the future holds, what's the next stage of Demogorgon.


The Demogorgon is one of the main person/s of Stranger Things and it goes through many stages as the show progresses. Many people have encountered it in many stages. Like Dart and Dustin, Dustin has seen Dart in most stages. Eleven has seen the Demogorgon in its grown stage. 


Let's now talk about the many stages there are in the show - how the Demogorgon is formed and how it comes to life. 


  1. It starts in The Upside Down as a “Pollywog”. It begins looking like a tadpole with front legs and no bone structure. Its skin has a translucent quality under direct light. The trick was to get it to be small and cute and cuddly to a degree, and slowly get more aggressive. 

  2. The next stage is the Frogogorgon. In this stage of the creature, it has 4 legs and is now the size of a toad, it can now trot. 

  3. The next stage is the Catogorgon, as the creature moves into adolescence it grows. It is the size of a cat. It now gets the petal mouth (RIP Mews). 

  4. The next stage is Dogogorgon. It has entered into the penultimate stage of its life, it's now the size of a dog. And gets dog behaviors. It travels in packs and eats other life. 

  5. The last stage is the Demogorgon. It has entered the last stage. It has fully grown. 


And that is the life of the Demogorgon and its 5 stages.

The Downside of School Dress Codes for Female Students

By Briana Naranjo  Every school has a dress code students must follow. But some of those dress codes are out of line when it comes to what girls wear. For girls, there are a lot of school dress codes that dictate how much thigh and how much shoulder they are allowed to show. Many schools have these dress codes so the students dress “modestly,”  which is understandable to a certain extent. However, many school dress codes focus only on what the girls wear and never focus on what boys wear. This has started major outrage from students, as this is an unfair system and should be changed.    Shirts that show collarbones and shoulders are said to be too “distracting” for the boys and are not “appropriate” for the learning environment. These strict dress codes lead to many counts of girls being sent home due to the fact their clothes were too “revealing” or not “appropriate”. Disney Channel Character from “Andi Mack” comes out as gay, and other LGBT characters.

By Dash Fisher Hunters Point Community Middle School - It’s your neighbourly and friendly friend here, Dash! In the show Andi Mack, a character comes out as gay to his friend. Here are my thoughts and feelings about it. Andi Mack is a Disney Channel show about tweens going through middle school. Starring Peyton Elizabeth Lee as Andi Mack, Andi Mack is turning 13 when her older sister Bex returns home. Andi goes through her teenage life, with the help of her family and her friends Cyrus and Buffy, on top of coping with the discovery that Bex is actually her mother and that her mother Celia “Cece” is actually her grandmother, and managing her crush on classmate Jonah Beck. While another one of Andi’s friends, Cyrus, also has a crush on Jonah. So, in the show Cyrus comes out as gay. Gay is the G in LGBTQ+. LGBTQ+ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and the plus stands for other sexualities/genders including but not limited to Pensexual, Asexual, and Intersex.
