The Greatest NBA Players in 2019

By Fernando Mora

2019 has been a year for basketball. There is so much competition, there are so many things happening to prove who the best player is.
But who is the best player? Well, here are the top three three best basketball players in 2019, according to an expert at ESPN and me, HPCMS student - Fernando Mora.
#3 Lebron James

Ok, starting with number three we have Lebron James from the Los Angeles Lakers. He’s the SF (Shooting Forward) for the 2019-2020 season and his projected RPM (Real Plus-Minus) wins are: 11.3 (average on the wins in the NBA). One big question everyone is asking: How long can he keep it up? He is getting older and he is not able to do some things any more. He is 34 years old and there are people who retired when they were 30 or more, like Dwayne Wade. According to ESPN “This will happen if James keeps defying father time with some younger talent in Anthony davis and Kyle Kuzma to help. L.A should be a force. If he can’t they could have real challenges”. They could lose their chance of an NBA championship. Lebron James really needs to step it up so they don’t suffer and lose over and over and not even get close to winning a championship

#2 Kawhi Leornard

Next as number 2: Kawhi Leornard from the LA Clippers. He’s the PF (Power Forward) for 2019-2020 and his previous Projected RMP wins are 6.5. One big question: Will anyone give Kawhi Leornard a challenge? According to ESPN, “No one in the NBA presents a greater definitional challenge for the NBA rank than Leornard, whose quantity of contributions were far greater in the 2019 playoffs than in the 2018-19 regular season.” Kawhi was better than everyone in the postseason and won MVP after helping the Raptors to the finals. I think Lawhi earned this spot because he is an amazing basketball player and i think he is worthy of doing the same thing again and maybe winning the championships with the raptors. He can be a very competitive person and it is hard to play against him in basketball because he was good enough to help his team make it to the finals. Here is a question I’d like you to answer . Do you think Kawhi Leornard deserves to be in the top three? Do you think he will be able to take the Clippers to the finals and hopefully win the championships? They really have a chance since they have Kawhi on their team so they can win and take down any team who gets in their path. But does he have what it takes on number one on this list!? Well they played against each other before and it was a huge challenge for both of them.

#1 Giannis Antetokounmpo

Next at number 1: Giannis Atetokoumpo from the Milwaukee Bucks. He’s the SF of the 2019-2020 and his projected RMP wins are 14.4. One big question everyone is asking is: According to ESPN “Antetokounmpo appeared to breeze through the 2018-19 regular season posterizing defenders and swatting the league’s all-stars at the rim. NBA aficionados expected Antetokounmpo to be good but this good? No way.” then they faced the raptors and that is when it all went down . The Raptors proved that they are the better team. Now because of that loss to the Raptors the Bucks have expectations like they want him to do better in the seasons and carry the team to the finals . But i have a question will Giannis have enough to help the Bucks win and make it to the finals in the season? He is only 24 years old so he might be able to at such a young age . I am confident that he will be able to accomplish this. But he can do so much a do so much at his age of 24. He is able to do slams and he can block a shot perfectly without a problem. They really have a chance since they have Giannis on their team so they can win and take down any team who gets in their path.
