The Untold Life of a Minimalist

What is Minimalism?A minimalist is a person who doesn’t have a lot of stuff in their life. Minimalists only have the things they need in their life and they either have one of it or they are they are the type that works really hard to accomplish something and they only keep the things that will help the accomplish that goal.

How Can Being a Minimalist Impact You?Being a minimalist can come in handy when you are a child. According to Allie minimalism can help children with a variety of different things such as:

Gratitude
Social skills
Stronger relationships with other people
Creativity
More happiness
More kind to the community
Getting out more and being more social
Being calm

These are some examples of what minimalism helps children with, but there are many more!

So How Do You Become A Minimalist?Many of you might be thinking if you want to become or try out the lifestyle of a minimalist,then “How can I start to be a minimalist ? Well, here are a few steps and tips from The Tiny Life on how to become a minimalist and how it improves your life.
  1. Understand why you want to become a minimalist
  2. Get rid of stuff that you do not need or will not use
  3. Clean up your calendar and agenda to keep your time organized
  4. Organize your closet and make it something small
  5. Clear out the space in which you work
  6. Clean/declutter your kitchen
  7. Save your money up, so you don’t have to worry about any debt

Does Minimalism work for everybody?Well the answer to that question would be no. In Get Green Be Well it basically tells us that minimalism is not a thing for everybody. “If I see one more person explaining about how minimalism has changed their life for the better,I think I might scream.” This will not easy for this guy. Do you think that you would act the same way? This is what Arianna Tzanos from the 8th grade said:, “It would definitely be hard to change my lifestyle but it would make life simpler. I would have more time to spend with my family and friends and enjoy their company.” Daisy from the 8th grade said: “it wouldn’t be the best thing because all those memories are carried through my belongings.” What do you think?

What about Marie Kondo?If you don’t know who Marie Kondo is, then you guys are missing out. Marie Kondo is a specialist on on tidying up and she helps people tidy up their house. Marie Kondo has helped many families tidy up their lifestyles like she helped Kevin and Rachel in Episode 1 on Netflix She starts off by looking at their home and how they “keep clean.” She then sits down with them and she then talks and thinks about how to be grateful that they have a home.She does this by finding a place in the house and kneels down and is spiritual with it.

She then moves on to clothing. She makes you then take out all of the clothing and makes you pick the ones that you need and that sparks joy in you and the ones that you don’t need or just don’t make you happy.

She then moves on to teaching them how to fold them.She is very spiritual with the clothing to.She also tells them how they can help teach their kids to get in the habit of being tidy. Marie then moves on to the kitchen and the garage the (komono) section. Afterwards, she helps them organize in different ways and tells them that using little boxes can come in handy to help you organize.
The next step are the sentimental items. In the episode they tell Marie she has been a big help because tidying up helped them be less stressed and spend more time with their family.

If you had a messy home, would you also call Marie for her help.mrs.Fichman answered, “If you asked me several weeks ago I would say no, but I am moving and I started watching TIDYING UP which changed the way that I packed my stuff up”

So what do you think about minimalism is it something that would be easy for you.Or would minimalism be a struggle.Who’s answer do you like the most?Who do you agree with and if you think you could never with minimalism I would tell you to try out the challenge out you self up new things get out of your comfort zone.
