Black Ops 4 Review

Black Ops 4 is quickly becoming the game of the year by combining FPS games and the famous game, Fortnite. If you didn’t already know an FPS game is a first person shooter game. A first person shooter type of game is a specific type of game where you see through your character’s eyes while you eliminate everyone on the opposing team. As opposed to Fortnite which is a battle royale game, meaning that you have to eliminate all the other players until you are the only one left.

Though the two games are really good, the one thing that made Black Ops 4 one of the most anticipated games of the year for Black Ops fans is that they have added a new game mode called “battle royale.” According to Digital Trends, the battle royale mode is way more realistic looking than Fortnite but has the same type of gameplay. You drop out of a plane, get guns and a shield, the storm appears and you move into the circle. On the way you eliminate players until you are the last one standing.

Moreover, you have a variety of places to land such as dams, rivers, islands, prisons and much more. They have also added attachments to guns to give them more stability and increase reload speed.

If you ever run out of space find a backpack, it will give you extra space to carry more items like guns or med kits to heal up when injured. You can also leap through windows and can check to see how far away you are from the gas circle.

Another thing to keep in mind is to have a wide range of guns by having mid range, long, and short range weapons. If you are far from the circle which is a ring of gas that will affect your greater each time it starts to shrink health , hop in a helicopter, quad bike, boat or truck to get there faster. However, you have to be aware that the helicopter does make a lot of noise and so does the truck. So, it is recommend that you use the boat since it is quieter and you can easily hide in there. If you are a stealthy player, you can confuse your enemy’s knowledge of your location and lob a grenade to get the jump on them.

Also, in the new Black Ops 4, there are some new specialists that have different, but equally strong abilities like Ajax, a breacher with a shield and nine bang grenades. It also includes a battery, a demolition expert with a grenade launcher and a cluster grenade.

There’s also Crash, a healer that carries a med kit with a Tak-5 and an assault ammunition pack. Fire Break carries with him a flamethrower and a reactor core which is like a nuclear reactor, meaning it shoots out nuclear fuel components when heated. Nomad is a natural dog lover and has tripwire that has explosives attached to it and there is also prophet a guy with a tactical rifle with a player seeking bomb. There is also Recon, a person who gathers intel and darts; Ruin, a guy with a grapple gun and a grav slam attack. The last two are Seraph and Torque. Seraph has a revolver and a beam of light to signal people and Torque has a barricade and razor wire.

New cool features, some you may like or not, such as the fact that you have to manually press l1 to heal. So that means you cannot dodge enemy fire and wait until your health regenerates. Not only that - they also took away some old features they had in other Call of Duties. One feature that most of the Call of Duty games have in common is wall sprinting or jet jumps, but C.O.D4 doesn’t have these features. Only the most tactical and skilled players will live, meaning that you will have to try really hard and bring the strategic part of you out. The specialists have become the star of the show by having very cool abilities and being just as strong. They have also brought back that you have control of your character by being able to customize your character’s style by not only being able to have attachments to your guns but also boosting total health to pull out in a tough situation.

There are only these current game modes you are allowed to play, which are HC Free for All, HC TDM, HC Kill Confirmed, HC Domination, and an HC Search and Destroy. They will release new game modes in the future in the game’s full release.There are also two fan made game modes that are going to be team deathmatch and hard point. A free for all is a match in which you eliminate everyone in sight. Domination is a game mode that you dominate your enemy, which means you have to capture three areas in the level and you get points from each one and whoever has the most points is the winner. Search and destroy is a more difficult game mode because you defend and complete the objective and you do not respawn. TDM is a match where you eliminate everyone in site except for your team so it is like free for all but you have a team.

Well, this is our review of Black Ops 4. So far it has become the game of the year for even a beta. The game has so much to offer with all the cool game modes, new specialists and the new battle royale mode. Not only do famous twitch streamers like ninja and timthetatman I wouldn’t be surprised to see girl streamers start to join the fun too. Some HPCMS students have told me that they have heard about the game including even some of the girls as well. In my opinion this game is amazing for being one of the best FPS games of this year.
