Anthem, Will It Be Good?

Will BioWare’s upcoming shared world shooter game Anthem - to be released on February 22nd, 2019 - become popular like Destiny or will it fail?

Anthem’s main weapons, called javelins, are Interceptor, Storm, Colossus, and Ranger. As far as we know they are customizable in terms of color, weapon choice and armor. We know you can change your javelin in the strider (a moving vehicle that you use to go on missions) and Fort Tarsis (your private base).

Fort Tarsis is your main base in the realm of Anthem. Currently, we don’t know the name of the planet where Anthem takes place so Fort Tarsis is the only general description of the setting. We know that Anthem has multiple biomes and they have different monsters based on their surroundings. For example, a desert biome (not real or known in the game) has sand titans (also not real or known in the game). We also know strongholds will be in the game for tackling.

We know that there will be events for rewards probably like skins and weapons. Also there will be changes in the environment like Shaper technology activation and other events. Because it’s a shared world game we know that all changes in the Anthem world will occur in real time to everyone’s setting.

We don’t know what time Anthem takes place since it doesn’t take place on Earth. But we do know the Freelancers (the humans who control javelins) have a history that isn’t as respected as it should be.

The Freelancers are the humans who control the javelins and in Anthem you play as a rookie Freelancer. Anthem’s world was created by gods called Shapers who controlled these pieces of technology called the Anthem of Creation to create the planet you play on. BioWare didn’t say how it occurred in Anthem. They also didn’t say why the Anthem of Creation created Anthem. I think the setting will affect the storyline in multiple different ways because if the surroundings affect battle it will probably affect the story.

The different customization options show BioWare’s new game Anthem will have multiple color combinations. One of the customization options is the weapons and the color of the javelin. You can also customize its color through skins. I personally think it will be good but others might disagree with me. Let’s hope BioWare’s game will meet or even exceed the standards.
